Congrats Oregon students on Campus Carry!

A friend pointed me to this story.

The Oregon Court of Appeals announced Wednesday that an Oregon Administrative Rule effectively banning concealed weapons on the state’s public university campuses was invalid.

This shouldn’t even be a story.  The Universities have been ignoring preemption this ENTIRE time.  They were violating the law.  When we violate the law, we wind up fined or jailed.  When a government worker violates the law, nothing happens.  At least there’s been one state to punish those First Class citizens for breaking the law.

It took a lawsuit and the work of the citizens with the Oregon Firearms Educational Foundation to get this rolled out, but it looks like it worked.  Congratulations go to Oregon students that wish to keep themselves from being the next Virginia Tech.  Now, they won’t have to cower under a desk.

The law only prevented the law abiding from carrying their firearms.  School administrators and the Liberal Left also believe that criminals obey those laws and signs, too.  The populace isn’t as stupid as you think they are.
